New Residence  -  Kingscliff  -  Under Construction

Strong horizontal geometry has always been central to how the practice thinks about landscape and light, and RR1 pushes that thinking further than most.

Broad roof planes, deep cantilevers and finely articulated walls give the house a commanding presence while never losing a sense of lightness — restraint and confidence held in the same gesture.

Living spaces are conceived as a sequence of interconnected volumes, opening generously toward the pool and surrounding landscape until inside and outside read as one continuous environment. Expansive glazing draws in natural light and distant views, while deep overhangs temper the subtropical climate with shade and privacy.

The building's defining act is a cantilevered pool terrace, projected from the upper level to hang above the landscape in a moment of real suspension. More than a gesture, it extends the principal living space outward into a memorable outdoor room with an uninterrupted line to the coast — the result is a home that is expansive, calm and materially rich, and entirely resolved in itself.
